Saturday Beauty Steal #4

After a 4-day working week, it's time for another beauty steal.

This Saturday, I've browsed the clearance section at Fragrance Direct - a beauty blogger favourite for bargain make-up, skin care and perfume - and found this beautiful Bourjois mono eyeshadow for an amazing £1.49.

What is it?
Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eyeshadow is a 2.5g powder-based product that has been designed for lots of blending and building. It's available in two spring-friendly shades - Bleu Elasthane (shown above) and Vert Etirable.

What do I like about it?
Well, first of all, I really rate the quality of Bourjois' products. Secondly, green and blue complement several different eye colours, making the eyeshadows very versatile. As someone with light brown eyes, I love green eyeshadow and could easily wear it daily.

I also love that it comes with its own expert brush and mirror; having these extras to hand makes application on the go simple.

Why is it a steal?
Given that Bourjois' Ombre Stretch Eyeshadow is made for beauty lovers to experiment with different looks, from the subtle to the extreme, just think about how many different looks you could get for under £2. What's more, 26 people rated the eyeshadow as long-lasting, 20 reported smooth application and 16 were happy with the colour payoff. This beauty steal is the real deal.

You can buy this Bourjois mono eyeshadow here.

Mini Boots Haul

DISCLAIMER: It's official, I have no self-control. At all

But now I'm done with the post-haul guilt trip - YAY BOOTS 3 FOR 2! Come on guys - there's only so many haul posts a girl can read before she sticks on her best lippy and hits the town.

It would be rude not to get involved, so let's start with the bits I got in the 3 for 2 offer.

Cutipen Cuticle Remover (£4.35)

Cutipen is an affordable cuticle-removing pen that delivers a softening cream through the nib. This was the free product I got as part of the mix and match offer, and it's also the riskiest purchase as I've never bought anything like this before. But as it was only priced at around £4, compared to the nail and cuticle oils starting at around £6 and going up to about £12, I didn't really have much to lose.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer (£7.49)

I know a fantastic concealer when I see it, and I've been resisting the temptation to buy this Healthy Mix one from Bourjois for quite some time now! So I finally succumbed.

I bought the Healthy Mix concealer in Eclat Clair, which was the lightest shade of three as I always like to start light and build up with bronzer and blusher later on in my make-up routine. After seeing the product on my skin, I am pretty confident that I'll love it dearly. But will it replace my beloved Benefit Erase Paste? That is the question my friends...

Bourjois Queen Attitude Kohl Kajal (£6.99)

I don't even think I have the words to describe how beautiful this kohl eyeliner is from Bourjois. Ever since I clocked eyes on it on Tales Of A Pale Face, I've needed it in my life. I particularly love that it's a chunky eyeliner and has been designed almost like a lipstick. I really can't wait to try this! Watch this space for an EOTD on twitter :)

Now on to my additional purchase...I'm a bad person!

Boots Face Cloth White (£1.99 each)

Because one obviously is never enough, I bought two of Boots' own 100% cotton white face cloths. I've heard so many times that you shouldn't use the same towel for your face as you do for your body, and I really need to start looking after my skin in that respect. This would be perfect for use after a face mask or post cleansing with Philips' VisaPure electronic brush.

What have you bought from Boots lately? Do you like these products? xxx

NOTD: Ocean Glitter

The sudden appearance of the sun in London after a shockingly freezing Monday has got me thinking about all things bright and beautiful. That's why I decided to come up with an 'ocean glitter' nail look by using a strong base colour and two coats of gold glitter polish.

What I Used

Left: Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine in Vert Chlorophylle
Middle: GOSH Nail Polish in Greed
Right: L.A. Colors Rapid Dry Top Coat

What do you think of this nail look? Have you tried these polishes? xxx

Mini Superdrug Make-Up Haul

Left: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Candy Apple; Middle: Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Mulberry; Right: Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Enamel in Vert Chlorophylle

Attention all beauty bloggers - I've finally popped my Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter cherry!

After a long look at all the colours and testers (it was SO hard to choose!), I picked Candy Apple and I'm so excited to add it to my lip collection.

What's more, there's currently a £2 off promotion going on. So I got it for just £5.99!

And the fun didn't stop there :) I also bought a lipstick from the amazing Max Factor Colour Elixir range. I already have the Ruby Tuesday one which I love, but this one looks really beautiful and berry-like.

And my final item was one of my favourite highstreet nail polishes - Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Enamel. I opted for Vert Chlorophylle, as the colour called out my name and it would be rude not to respond!

Do you like what I chose? Have you bought anything at Superdrug lately? xxx
